"HAVE you started using that new moisturiser? Your skin looks totally different! It's glowing!"
That was the ringing endorsement from a colleague the day after I tried Clinique's Moisture Surge range, a multi-product range.
I tried three of the four products - the Moisture Surge Melting Balm, an overnight mask and a face spray.
The actual moisturiser itself was not included in this particular pack but I'll admit I'm tempted to to try it after the success of the other products.
The melting balm is supposed to be used as an all over face treatment, or 10 minute mask, and glides on easily but is slightly greasy so not really one for under any make-up.
I used it mainly at night and, for someone prone to dry skin patches and even eczema on occasions, it certainly hydrated my skin and alleviated that "tight" feeling sometimes experienced.
The next morning, Hannah at work noticed it immediately, hence her - very flattering - comments.
In comparison, the night mask was actually a lot lighter than the balm and would need more product to achieve a 'mask' effect.
Having said this, as I used the balm as my night cream, the night cream is light enough to get away with using during the day and is certainly not heavy or greasy, as many can be.
All in all, it's a quality range and I'd certainly recommend it, although the balm might not be good for someone with oily skin.
Verdict: A super smooth four and a half out of five
Clinique's Moisture Surge Melting Balm is available for £26, the Moisture Surge Face Spray for £22 and Moisture Surge Overnight Mask for £30.
