Like most people, I rely heavily on concealer to make my face look semi-presentable on a daily basis.

Despite my relatively young age, I’m partial to having dark bags under my eyes, the odd spot (or five) and have unfortuently been cursed with burst blood vessles on my face, so anything that masks these insecurities is a blessing.

Colour corrector is not something I'd usually go for but gave it a try on the basis that it was from Urban Decay and their products are normally really good.

The colour correcting fluid comes in five different shades, with each serving a different function.

I tried the pink, which brightens dark areas, and lavender which balances sallowness.

Also on offer is green to counteract spot redness, peach for dark circles and yellow for concealing purple-hued dark circles.

At first I was a bit confused about when exactly to apply the product. It’s packaging and consistency is much the same as a concealer so it’s thick and creamy. Should I put it on before or after primer? Before or after foundation? I'm pretty clued up on make up but it took a good bit of research before I finally settled on my plan of action.

I finally decided to fire it on under my foundation and before my concealer then blended it with a sponge. The colours blend into the skin really well, to point where you can't even really notice that you've essentially just put bright purple concealer on.

I continued with my normal foundation, concealer and bronzer routine and my face did genuinely look a lot brighter and healthier so much so that I might actually go out and buy the rest of the colours!
