THE original scent, Flowerbomb was launched in 2005, by the avant-garde luxury fashion house, Vicktor & Rolf.
It quickly became a best seller and a favourite amongst the younger age bracket.
At least three of my colleagues, all in their 20s and early 30s, are big fans of the 'floriental' scent, which is a fusion of Centifolia Rose, Sambac Jasmine, Cattleya Orchid and India Osmanthus.
Two other successors soon followed, Spicebomb and Bonbon and a new, lighter addition, Flowerbomb Blood has just hit the shelves.
Whilst keeping it closely connected to the original fragrance, with its musks, vanilla and patchouli blend, the perfume is pleasantly lighter and a bit fruitier with gorgeous bergamot, pomegranate and mandarin oils coming through and turning into something spicier as the day goes on.
It's a very pretty bottle, more slender than the original and a lovely scent for Spring days.
Flowerbomb Bloom by Vikton & Rolf starts at £50 for eau de toilette and is available from John Lewis in Glasgow at www.johnlewis.com
