AN award-winning beauty salon is offering customers an alternative to 'unreliable' discount sites.

Revival Retreat, which counts Hollywood actress Kelly Macdonald among its clients, is believed to be the first beauty salon in Glasgow to launch a corporate club targeting city businesses.

Customers will be entitled to monthly 50% discounts treatments including nails, lashes, waxing and therapeutic massage for an annual fee of £50. Firms will be required to sign up a minimum of 10 employees.

Salon owner Lynne Hetherington believes customers are tiring of cheaper voucher deals where the quality of the treatment can be variable and can involve lengthy waits for an appointment.

Other sites can allow bookings to be taken for appointments that aren't actually available.

She said: "While discount sites can offer customers a good deal in some cases, customers have no idea what the standard of the treatment will be like if they haven't visited the salon before.

"At Revival Retreat all our therapists are trained to a very high level so you can be guaranteed a great service.

"Customers may also find it tricky to get their treatment when they want it, whether it's a spray tan for a spur of the moment trip away or a lash lift for a special night out. We will be able to guarantee speedy appointments."

The corporate club will be launched at the Renfield Street salon.

Revival Retreat was named best multi-site salon last year at the Glasgow Business Awards.
