I do love a lipbalm. It can give you an instant glow but doesn't have the heaviness of a lipstick.
I had the chance to try out Liz Earle's Superskin Superlip balm promises to visibly plump, nourish and protect against dryness.
As a newbie to Liz Earle products I was expecting great things as I had heard a lot about the range.
I was looking forward to it as it claimed to soften lips with the rich, conditioning balm.
It boasts naturally active ingredients including Alaria esculenta extract to plump, pomegranate seed oil to nourish and dragon’s blood extract, argan oil and shea butter to help protect against dryness.
So I gave it a whirl.
It glided on and gave a a great glossy shine. Worn over a lipstick and there would be a very polished look.
However, what put me off was the taste.
It seemed to be like wearing aromatherapy on my lips. While I love that smell at a spa, I couldn't really take it all day on my lips.
I also found it a bit slidey.
While it might do the job with a little perseverance, it wasn't worth it for me.
