DECEMBER used to be the month we could enjoy a chocolate treat with our breakfast for 24 days of the year.
But not anymore.
Following on from Aldi announcing they will be launching a wine advent calendar next month, John Lewis has followed the boozy trend - by launching a gin alternative.
The Edinburgh Gin tasting calendar features 25 mini 5cl gin bottles and includes clean, fresh-and-spicy-on-the-nose gin, as well as rounded juniper, pine, and floral lavender with hints of soft spice and citrus.

Undeterred by the £100 price tag, the calendar quickly went viral and, as a result, has already sold out online on the John Lewis website.

Edinburgh Gin has, however, confirmed it is available in stores this week and they will be keeping gin lovers updated when it's back in stock on the website.
