A supermarket chain has launched super-strength garlic bread which is an eyewatering 600 per cent stronger than your usual bread.

Guaranteed to keep vampires at bay this Halloween, the popular side dish is so potent that the smell could linger for a staggering 12 hours after consumption.

The ten-inch bread has hit Morrisons shelves from today in time for the scariest time of the year.

Pizza buyer at Morrisons, Jenny Dixon, described how it may not be the best idea to have the bread on a first date.

However, she added: “For all those families who wanted to be truly prepared, this product will scare away even the most determined vampires.”

Dubbed ‘Dracula’s Devil Garlic Bread’, it costs just £1.60 and can be snapped up until November 5.

Although it may be off-putting for many, garlic actually has many health benefits and is believed to hold significant antibacterial and antioxidant qualities.

A US study found that people who took garlic supplements for 12 weeks over winter got fewer colds than those who took a placebo.
