LAUGHTER lines, crows feet or just plain old wrinkles. However you describe them, the quest to smooth out the complexion is backed by a billion-dollar industry.
Botox is one solution and I'm not sure there is a cosmetic cream on the market, yet, which can replicate its effects.
However, if like me, you are just looking for your skin to look as good as it can for your age without necessarily erasing every single line, then Elemis has something new for the armoury, which launches on April 1, and is attracting favourable reviews.
The heavenly-smelling spa brand (their cleaning balm is my ultimate favourite) has brought out a new version of the best-selling Pro-Collagen cream which is designed for overnight use and comes with a hefty £145 price tag.
It aims to target the areas of the skin, which are most affected by stress, while you get your zeds, with a major dose of hydration and anti-ageing ingredients.
The brand claim that 100% of users agreed that it made their skin look more youthful in the morning. But did it deliver for this (quite stressed) 42-year-old?
Like all Elemis products, it's a gorgeous product to use and feels extremely rich on the skin, like a masque.
After a couple of weeks use, I'm confident there is a slight improvement in my laughter lines and my dry skin looks plumper, firmer and a little less winter-grey.
