PLANS have been submitted for a new cafe in Battlefield.
It is hoped a change of use can be granted for the premises on Battlefield Road can be turned into a cafe with a takeaway facility. The plans also state that a flute will be erected.
The plans, which were validated on April 6, state the opening hours are 8am to 6pm and the cafe will offer breakfast, light lunch, teas, coffee and cakes.
The unit was previously occupied by an upholsterer.
The proposal was submitted by Grain and Grind.
The application has already received an objection with one resident complaining about cooking odour.
A decision is expected in June but the Evening Times understands that the cafe is already operating.
