Tollcross International Swimming Centre has just played host to a thrilling 2014 Scottish Gas National Championships, and the water has barely had time to settle before the next major event gets under way.
The British Gas Swimm-ing Championships will be staged in the city for the first time from tomorrow until Tuesday, bringing the UK's top swimming stars to the city.
Just three days later, the country's leading disabled swimmers compete at the British Para-Swimming International Meet, from April 18 to 21.
It is one of the biggest open competitions for para-swimming in the world and attracted more than 300 international swimmers from 40 countries in 2013.
Tollcross is one of Europe's largest compe-tition venues and will host all the swimming action at this summer's Common-wealth Games.
The venue, run by Glasgow Life, has already staged world-class events, including the Europe versus America Duel In The Pool competition in December.
Councillor Archie Gra-ham, chairman of Glasgow Life and executive member for the Commonwealth Games, said: "Tollcross International Swimming Centre has become a centre of excellence for swimming in Scotland.
"The city invested £14million in Tollcross, which resulted in an improved 50m competition pool, a new 50m warm-up pool and an extra 1000 permanent seats.
"Not only has this delivered a truly world class venue fit for the Games, but the investment has enabled us to attract high-profile competitions such as the British Championships and the Para-Swimming International Meet."
Glasgow's Olympic silver medallist Michael Jamieson will be in action at the British Championships and faces a tough test in the breaststroke events. England's Andrew Willis, who pipped Michael to the British title two years ago, will also be going for gold in Glasgow.
Meanwhile, fellow Scot Ross Murdoch will fancy his chances in the 50m breaststroke, having broken the British record at the 2014 Scottish Nationals.
Sky will broadcast the final evening sessions (April 13-15) live on Sky Sports 2.
