PINK may conjure up images of Barbie.

But sugary sweet shades are all the rage in the world of fashion this autumn.

From catwalk shades ranging from blush to deep pink at shows including Prada and Chanel to the red carpet, there is a pink style to suit everyone.

For a romantic take on the trend look to Dolce and Gabbana who sent models down the runway wearing dusky pink coats with 1960-style collars.

Similarly Chanel models wore the fashion house's trademark cardigan and skirt in a peachy pink colour.

Altuzarra went for fluffy pink faux fur, while Alexander McQueen channelled Charles Dickens' character Miss Havisham with plenty of ruffles and wild hair.

Meanwhile, celebrities including Kardashian sister Kendall Jenner and Cara Delevingne have championed the look.

The first think you should do is find your shade of pink.

Some are easier to wear than others. Pale pink suits a variety of skin tones, though, and is a good place to start.

The high street has taken its lead from the autumn/winter shows and provided plenty of pink inspiration.

Head to Topshop to nail two trends in one. Their cropped flare trouser suit taps in to the retro trend, while the pale pink will satisfy you colour-wise.

For something a bit more low key, visit Jigsaw where you'll find this poncho.

Pair it with jeans like the model pictured here for a cool off-duty style.

Trousers can be tricky but you could try pale pink jeans.

Team them with a long-length top in white or navy.

A few seasons ago fashion editors couldn't get enough of pink coats. Well, prepare for an onslaught of these coats again thanks to Dolce and Gabbana's offerings.

Marks and Spencer always brings in excellent lines at winter - and this cashmere coat is sure to be a sell-out.

Try ethical retailer People Tree for cosy knits and Primark for barely-there pink blouses.

If pink pieces are not for you then accessorise with a box bag, like this gorgeous one from Radley.
