PAPERCHASE has taken the wrapping paper off its brand new store at Silverburn to reveal a wonderful world of stationery.

From notebooks and pens to cards for every occasion, the second store in Glasgow after the flagship Buchanan Street branch in the city centre takes the distinctive design-conscious brand to a whole new audience out in the suburbs.

Store manager Liz McPhee reports a busy first couple of weeks with greetings cards selling particularly well, along with notebooks being snapped up by students getting ready to go back to college and university.

"A lot of customers have been coming in saying they have been so excited about the shop, every time they have walked past they have been waiting to see when we would open," she says.

"There is a lot of loyalty from people who have shopped at Buchanan Street but also there are customers who don't know anything about us and have come into the store for the first time."

Popular ranges from the brand's autumn collection include Nordic Nights, quirky Scandi designs on notebooks and accessories, and Mystic Rose, delicate florals, creepy skulls and frosted landscapes with accents on copper on everything from stationery and cosmetics bags to mugs, bags and travel accessories.

"As we are a new store we have many brand new lines and ranges," adds Liz. "We start getting ready for Christmas next month and are expecting to see lovely artsy baubles, decorations and cards.

"We have an art section with sketch pads, pencils and collage material for adults and kids, as well as a celebration department with balloons, party invites and hats, luggage at the front of the store with funky Paperchase backpacks and a large section of notebooks that not a lot of stores have."

Located adjacent to Office, Kurt Geiger and Coast, the new 3,016 sq ft store offers the brand's full range of stylish stationery and gifts.

Regular customers will be interested in the Treat Me card, offering a £5 gift on your birthday, free click and collect, free next day delivery, a £5 reward when you spend more than £50 and exclusive online offers. There is also 15% off your first purchase with the card.

The Silverburn store is open from 10 am to 9pm, Monday to Friday; 9am to 7pm, on Saturday; and 10am to 7pm on Sunday. Visit www.paperchase.co.uk
