THE new celebrity 'must have' is about to arrive in Glasgow.

City party-goers can now join the legions of Hollywood A-listers who have turned to intravenous vitamin drips to give themselves a health kick.

Intravenous vitamins - delivered directly into the bloodstream - are said to boost immune systems - and act as a hangover cure.

Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora, Madonna, Kelly Osbourne and Katherine Jenkins are among the stars who have used expensive intravenous vitamin drips to try to boost their energy levels.

But the trend has been picked up by revellers across the country as a hangover cure, earning it the nickname, the 'party girl' drip.

At a specialised clinic in Glasgow city centre, patients can get a cocktail of vitamins pumped straight into them through a standard hospital drip.

Sur Medispa, in West Regent Street, confirmed they would be offering the VitaminDrip.

In a statement, spa bosses said: "Sur Medispa are Glasgow's exclusive provider of VitaminDrip."

The drip is already available in clinics across the UK and can cost up to £200.

The vitamin drips are said to treat dehydration as well as boost energy levels.

X Factor judge Simon Cowell is another celebrity rumoured to have used an intravenous drip to pump vitamins into his bloodstream.

He said: "When you have it done, it’s an incredibly warm feeling.

"You feel all the vitamins going through you.

"It’s calming and gives you energy for a good few days."

Sur Medispa will officially launch VitaminDrip at an event at 29 Private Member Club tonight.
