Made by Katherine Pentney, each quirky animal design is drawn and cut out of felt, then free motion embroidery is applied to add hair or feather details. There are no embroidery programmes used in the process, it is all done by eye.

Katherine also makes custom designs of your own pet or favourite animal.

Zoe Brennan is a Perth-based company that specialises in contemporary stationery. Working from her home studio, she makes and creates all designs by hand before they are sent off to be printed.

"I try to stay on the right side of cheeky: risque not raunchy. My mantra is if I wouldn't show my mum, it ain't getting done," she laughs.

"The same things have always caught my attention, things that make me laugh and think, things that I can connect with. Sometimes it's a phrase or a joke, other times it's more visual. I like to create products that engage, whether evoking a memory, personal connection or something just to make you chuckle."

Edinburgh's Maram Jewellery produce birthstone rings and sterling silver pieces. Choose from individual stacking rings or custom order your own with the birthstones of different members of the family.

There are personalised initial stamped necklaces, seaglass bracelets and pretty silver and semi-precious stone earrings.

From a shop at the Hidden Lane in Glasgow's west end, Emily Rose Vintage upcycles and refurbishes furniture.
