From custom-made designer gowns to fashion forward jumpsuits and two-pieces, 2015 was a glorious year for red carpet moments.
We’ve chosen a winning look from each month of the year.
January: Sarah Hyland
(Brian Dowling/Invision)
The Modern Family actress wore a stunning custom Vera Wang gown with heavy embellishment to the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
February: Rita Ora
(Dominic Lipinski/PA)
Rita’s fashion mistakes probably outweigh her triumphs but this plunging Zuhair Murad jumpsuit was the perfect balance between elegant and hot.
March: Lily James
(Todd Williamson/Invision)
Cinderella actress Lily James looked suitably like a princess at the film’s world premiere.
April: Cara Delevingne
(Matt Sayles/Invision)
We love this intricate regal-style dress Cara wore to the MTV Movie Awards. Extra style points for the high neckline and long-sleeves.
May: Marion Cotillard
(Arthur Mola/Invision)
French Oscar-winning actress Marion shows us how it’s done in a strapless mini at Cannes.
June: Katie Holmes
(Evan Agostini/Invision)
We love Katie in this olive green gown that perfectly complements her colouring.
July: Emma Stone
(Jordan Strauss/AP)
Emma rarely puts a foot wrong in the fashion stakes and this is a classic example. Beautiful fabric, chic accessories, and on-trend midi length… bravo.
August: Taylor Swift
(David Crotty/AP)
It was the outfit in which she accepted an MTV Video music award this year and, while most stars did the long designer gown thing, Taylor looked sensational in a sequin houndstooth two-piece with killer metallic heels.
September: Cheryl Fernandez-Versini
(Joel Ryan/AP)
Cheryl was so on trend in her velvet gown at the Pride of Britain Awards. It was the perfect choice for an autumn night.
October: Kate Middleton
(Anthony Devlin/PA)
The Spectre world premiere in London was packed with stars in stunning designer gowns, but when the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in this blue Jenny Packham dress with an elegant open back, no one could stop talking about it.
November: Nicole Kidman
(Daniel Leal-Olivas/PA)
Nicole Kidman rocked a delicate lace dress with a bird motif at the Evening Standard’s Theatre Awards where she picked up an award for her part as Rosalind Franklin in Photograph 51. The elegant high neck line and sweeping updo complete the look.
December: Danielle Brooks
(Sylvain Gaboury/AP)
Danielle – Taystee from Orange Is The New Black – looks amazing in this colourful gown. The sweetheart neckline, nipped in waist and gathered floaty fabric is beautiful on her. Extra style points for the halo braid.
