Miley Cyrus is rocking a darker, longer hairstyle in a casual Instagram snap which shows her reunited with her pals.
But new hairdos are old hat for the performer, who takes an experimental approach to her barnet.
With the use of weaves, wigs and extensions, Miley has crafted her hair into all sorts of unusual shapes and colours.
Here’s how 2015 looked for Miley’s hair…
In December, perhaps as a homage to Star Wars and Princess Leia, Miley went with two blonde buns:

But she’s also gone wackier, performing in a rainbow-coloured wig with a unicorn horn (of course).
The new look has been making its way out since she debuted this wavy and natural hairdo a few weeks ago:

But pink wigs and rainbow dreadlocks are necessary for a stage performance…
And then there was the look beloved of hipster men: the mini topknot.
This is the year Miley really took to blonde dreadlocks topped with a bun:

But there was also room in her wig wardrobe (wig-drobe?) for this pink spiky thing:
This hairdo took it to another level. Looks pretty heavy…
The singer and actress also – controversially for a white celebrity – posed with her hair cornrowed.
In May she wore it blue and short and slicked-back:

While Miley started off the year with a super-blonde short cut.

What a difference a year makes!
