On Monday we will celebrate our national Bard, Robert Burns, with poetry, whisky and, of course, tasty suppers of haggis, neeps and tatties.
Men going to a formal Burns Supper might get out their kilt for the occasion. But if it’s a more relaxed affair you’re attending, then smart casual with a twist of Scots style - a strong coloured check or a hint of tartan? - will do just as well. Waistcoats add a touch of class to any shirt and trousers get-up - and they look great when being burled around in a ceilidh.
A flat cap and a cosy warm scarf will finish off the look perfectly.
House of Fraser still has plenty of stylish winter clothes for him in its flagship Glasgow store, featuring top brands and in-house lines.
And with much of the range reduced before the start of the spring season, it’s the perfect time to stock up with bargains for Burns Night and beyond.
All that remains now for the perfect Burns Supper is to learn the Bard's traditional Address to the Haggis... good luck with that!
