Beauty Blog: get a J-Lo glow that's true bliss

When A-list celebs are getting ready for the red carpet, they go out of their way to make sure they look their very best and skincare treatments are usually high on the list.

Bliss Spa, which was founded originally in New York, is one of the places that attracts celebs like Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Julia Roberts for such treatments.

However, the spa is a little too far for most of us to get to, so how do we get the famous J-Lo glow I hear you ask - that beautiful, clear complexion that looks like we've been relaxing in St.Tropez for a month? Well, lucky for us, Bliss spa bottle up their spa treatments for us to enjoy and they are now available in Marks and Spencer stores across Glasgow. Hooray!

Now I can't guarantee you a sun-kissed glow, but I can say that their products have improved my skin tone and kept my skin feeling clear and refreshed. I was having a few problems with blemishes and oily skin and their products have genuinely helped.

Number one on my list of products to try was Bliss Steep Clean 15 Minute Facial, which deep cleanses your skin, helping to brighten it, reduce and control blemishes and regulate oil. It is designed to give you a spa like facial in a bottle and it didn't disappoint! My skin felt squeaky clean after I used it and I definitely feel it has helped control the oily skin I get on my t-zone. I think if you're the kind of person who enjoys using a face mask or if you sometimes feel like your skin is getting a bit clogged and looks dull then this product is for you.

Impressed with the results, I hit the M&S shelves again to purchase a face wash - choosing Bliss Foaming Facial Wash. This two-in-one formula, which is oil free, cleanses and exfoliates. Crucially though, it didn't strip my skin of moisture - it simply left it feeling clean and refreshed, a welcome addition to my skincare routine.

I have my eye on many of the Bliss products that I'd like to try soon, but for now, I'm glad that if I can't go to a New York Spa, the New York Spa can come to me in a bottle!

You can buy Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash from selected M&S stores (I visited Silverburn and Argyle Street in Glasgow), for £18.50 and the Bliss Steep Clean 15-Minute Facial for £36.00.
