As a makeup artist and general lover of all things makeup and skincare, I regularly get asked to recommend primers, foundations or mascaras and I love sharing my favourite products.

I also follow many other professional make-up artists online for product tips, such as Lisa Eldridge, who does make-up for celebrities such as Kate Winslet, Cara Delevigne, and Karla Powell, who is currently taking the fashion and creative industry by storm with her amazingly creative make-up.

So, here are some of the products that I can't live without and are always part of my professional kit.

Bourjois Radiance Reveal Healthy Mix Foundation, £9.99

I first came across this when Lisa Eldridge recommended it. She has used it before on her celebrity clients, and she and other professional make-up artists always rate it's ability to give a beautiful, natural, glowing finish that you'd only usually achieve by using premium brand foundations that come with a heavier price tag.

This foundation is my absolute go to. I use it on brides who love the look and feel, and always comment on how long it lasts on their big day. I use it on oily skin, dry skin, mature skin - the lot. It never lets me down.

Before applying, use your favourite primer as a base, and finish with a translucent powder to add to that flawless finish look.

Lancome Hypnose Mascara, £21

I'm back to Kate Winslet again, who is an ambassador for Lancome. This is by far my favourite mascara of all time. It gives you long, thick amazing lashes and it doesn't budge. Can't ask for more than that.

No7 Precision Lips Pencil in Nude, £6.75

If I had a lip liner for every single colour of lipstick I own, I'd have way too many and no space to keep them. This solves the problem! A natural coloured lip-liner that's soft, easy to apply and long lasting, definitely one to have handy in your makeup bag.

Mary Kay, Oil Free Eye Make-up Remover, £13

Please don't remove your eye make-up with face wipes. The skin on your eyes is thin and sensitive - so be nice to them. This eye make-up remover is positively amazing. If I turn up on a job and someone has eye make-up on, this quickly and easily removes it. It's oil free so it's not overly greasy. I wear contact lenses and I use it daily without any trouble. You simply apply the product on a cotton pad, press gently on each eye for 10 seconds and swipe the product away. Goodbye panda eyes!

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish, £22

Give yourself a beautiful soft glow with this amazing product that I absolutely love, particularly in the shade Soft and Gentle. Apply on the brow bone and high on the cheek bones for soft highlighting.

Bobbi Brown, Gel Eyeliner, £17.50

I can't remember the last time I used a liquid liner really, because I just love gel so much. Get a feline flick by using this with a thin eyeliner brush, or apply then blend for a smokey eye effect. Once this is on, it's smudge proof and waterproof so it doesn't move. There are a lot of gel liners on the market but this is one of my favourites and it lasts for ages!

Laura Mercier, Oil Free Primer, £28

If you have combination or oily skin, this is the primer for you. It's cooling on your face, it controls oil and shine and helps your makeup stay put.
