STEPHANIE Togneri-Alexander landed her dream job when she joined Debenhams at Silverburn as health and beauty manager.

The confirmed beauty addict spends her days keeping up to date with all the latest launches and trying out new products.

Now she is recommending her favourite buys to boost winter skin and leave you fresh-faced and glowing, ready to face the first rays of spring sunshine.

The 32-year-old with a background in the fashion world says good skincare is the foundation of great make-up.

"Before I worked in cosmetics I didn't really bother that much with skincare but now I understand that everything goes back to it," she explains. "Your make-up sits better, your skin is clearer, it is vitally important to look after your skin and it is never too early to start."

Stephanie is a big fan of serums and uses daily Yves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator Serum to even out her skintone and boost radiance. Over time redness and dark spots are reduced and skin looks more even and luminous.

Then she applies Yves Saint Laurent Forever Light Creator Creme Gel, a light daily moisturiser with a brightening effect to boost dull, tired skin.

"I think coming out of winter your skin can be dry and look tired. This moisturiser really freshens up your skin and means you can wear less make up," she says.

For skincare treatments, Stephanie recommends the new Bareminerals Mineralixirs Facial Cleansing Oil, to delicately clean skin without drying it out. Packed with plant extracts and oils, it conditions skins at the same time.

And her must-have is the Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil. Just one drop a couple of times a week before bed leaves skin silky soft and by morning.

"We are very excited that Sisley has launched at Silverburn and will have beauty rooms available for luxury facials to introduce the customers to the brand," says Stephanie.

At this time of year less is more when it comes to make-up and Stephanie advises a light foundation such as Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for a soft, dewy look, followed by the brand's Finishing Powder to dot the T-zone.

To give your complexion a boost, new products on counter to try include the Bobbi Brown Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm for a hydration boost that leaves skin radiant, and Clarins Instant Light Amber Oil lip treatment.

The new Lancome French Innocence collection is one of the first sets of spring colours to appear on counter with a confection of fizzing green, coral and pink sorbets.

Stephanie's can't-live-without products for her make-up bag include the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara.

"I don't wear the same brands every day, I change all the time to try new products," says Stephanie. "It depends on what look I'm going for. If I want a really matte look I'll wear more gloss on the lip. If I'm wearing an illuminating skin look I'll go for a more natural eye.

"My top tip would be to always use a primer and if you don't have time for foundation use a tinted moisturiser with a flick of mascara and lipgloss."

For some ideas to achieve a flawless, glowing look, the Estee Lauder counter at Debenhams applied Double Wear BB All Day Glow to model Linzi McLelland with matching under-eye concealer and a neutral eye palette.

"In January everyone is detoxing - from their diet to their skincare and make-up. The BB cream is really nice and light on the skin," says Stephanie.
