GLASGOW'S streets were recently transformed into decades of the past during the successful Vintage Festival.

And the high street is also giving a nod to days gone by.

There are plenty of 1960s-inspired pieces on the shelves at the moment - and there's something for everyone.

Whether you fancy a mini dress, an A-line skirt or a peter pan collar - or even an accessories update - there is plenty to try.

Look out for soft colours, pastels and details, as well as fail-safe black designs.

On the autumn/winter 2014 catwalks Saint Laurent showed beautiful capes, while Valentino also tried the cape trend in grey.

High street designers are already following suit, with capes beginning to filter into the shops.

Try New Look for a soft grey one that looks like it's beyond the £44.99 pricetag or try Debenhams for a cute plaid one.

There were also over-the- knee boots and plenty of mini dresses on the catwalks, so keep those in mind for when the cooler weather comes.
