Celtic's Derk Boerrigter has posed up with his beauty queen girlfriend as the face of luxury Scottish belt band Christian MacLeod.

The winger will promote the brand's Spring/Summer 2015 collection with his partner Jacqueline Steenbeek, who was Miss Netherlands 2013.

The collection officially launches on Thursday, April 2, but the Celtic players will get the chance to wear the belts at Sunday's Scottish League Cup Final against Dundee United.

Speaking about the brand, the 6' 2" hunk said: "Christian MacLeod belts are unique, luxurious and of the highest quality. His brand is a true credit to the Scottish Fashion industry.

"I like wearing CM belts because firstly, they look amazing, the designs are unique and easily recognisable and lastly, it's a feeling of luxury every time you wear one.

"Myself and the rest of the team are very excited to be wearing Christian's belts at the cup final on Sunday, Christian has kitted us all out with his Rizza belt to accompany our formal attire which is one of my favourites."

Designer Christian MacLeod added: "The past year has been a whirlwind for me, having been nominated at the Scottish Fashion Awards for Accessory Designer of the Year in 2014 and now working with Derk and Jacqueline, I feel like I need to pinch myself sometimes.

"I never expected the brand to be so well received in such a short space of time, the support people have shown me is overwhelming. I am from Inverness which isn't exactly the fashion capital of the UK, so for me being able to build my brand from my hometown and then see it featured in the likes of GQ Magazine is a dream come true."

An invitation only launch party is being held in Glasgow on April 2 in association with BMW, GQ Magazine and Cruise.

Celebrities who worked on previous campaigns including Hollyoaks actor James Sutton and professional golfer Paul Lawrie will be in attendance at the event.

Guests will be entertained by one of BBC Three's Killer Magic stars, Damien O'Brien and music from a live pianist. Guests will then continue the celebrations at Glasgow's newest nightclub Distrikt.

The Christian MacLeod brand began trading in 2014, with 18 belts being initially launched across three styles, the SS15 collection will see a further seven being added including one new style.

The brand will then create seven new styles or colours each season going forward.

Christian MacLeod was nominated at The Scottish Fashion Awards for Accessory Designer of the Year in 2014.
