Treat him to the fresh and powerful fragrance of Uomo with the Ermenegildo Zegna Uomo gift set, £45. The woody scent has notes of vetiver and cedarwood. In time for an extra Father's Day treat, it comes with a free tablet case.

For normal to oily skin, the new Molton Brown Balancing Face Wash, £18, combats excess shine and sweeps away dirt while softening beard bristles before shaving.

New to the men's grooming range at Kiehl's is Facial Fuel, £21, an energising moisturiser to give dull skin a lift. It isn't oily, unlike other men's moisturisers, and sinks in quickly, leaving skin soft all day long.

Add power to a morning shower with Espa Men Invigorating Body Reviver, £24. The zesty exfoliator has naturally foaming coconut and moringa seed extracts to deep clean, while Bora Bora sand smooths rough skin all over the body.

Bag some grooming essentials from John Lewis. The Gentleman's Grooming Essentials Kit, £25, includes a mirror, comb, nail file, razor with blade and mini knife, travel clothes cleaner, shoe horn, travel toothbrush, scissors, tweezers and nail clippers in a handy washbag.

Alternatively, from John Lewis, treat dad to the Wild and Wolf Gentlemen's Hardware Manicure Set, £20; Shaving Mirror £32; or

Tyler and Tyler Leather Wash Bag, £79.

At Marks & Spencer, Autograph Homme Eau de Toilette, £18, is a great summer fragrance, bursting with mandarin, grapefruit and mint, along with warm, spicy notes of amber and patchouli.

In the M&S Beauty Hall, Ren Multi-Tasking After Shave Balm, £20, comforts skin and reduces the appearance of redness and razor burn; and Crabtree & Evelyn Men's West Indian Lime Traveller Gift Set, £24, includes body wash, after-shave, shave cream and cologne. Decléor Aroma Cleanse Alguaromes Toning Shower and Bath Gel £21, has lemon and marjoram essential oils for a zingy start to the day. Decléor Aromessence Triple Action Shave Protector, £41.50, is a super serum that works to prepare and soften the skin before and after shaving to leave it looking clearer and feeling smoother for a fuss-free shave. A cocktail of essential oils, including clove, eucalyptus and jojoba, soothe razor burn and lift ingrown hairs.

Treat skin to Ole Henriksen Walnut Complexion Scrub, £26, from Harvey Nichols and John Lewis. Use two to three times a week instead of regular cleanser. Aloe vera gel moisturises and heals skin, while chamomile softens and soothes.

The Lab Series Essentials Kit, £40, is the perfect travel skincare treat for dad with the added bonus of being small enough to fit in his gym bag.

It includes hero products Multi-Action Face Wash and Daily Moisture Defence Lotion.
