PERFECTLY groomed eyebrows and bristling lashes are all over the catwalks this season.

Beautifully sculpted or barely brushed, brows are big.

The perfect arch frames the face and add definition - and can take years off.

According to Daniel Busuttil, Illamasqua's head of training, they are a defining look that never go out of style.

"Many love eyebrow definition for its lifting properties," he says. "Enhanced brows immediately lift the entire face, knocking years off within seconds.

"Brow enhancement is also popular as it is a great way to match brows to new hair colour or to fill naturally sparse brows."

For more exaggerated brows, or just an everyday more polished look, try Illamasqua Precision Brow Gel, £18.50, available in four shades and on counter from February 12.

The water-resistant cream gel is different from other powders and pencils as you can draw finer hairs and the result is more realistic, says Daniel.

"The biggest advantage of using a gel comes down to that all-important detail," he adds. "When drawing in brow hairs, always apply in the same direction as your hair grows.

"Start by using Illamasqua Angled Brush, and from the inner corner of the eye fill in between the natural brow hairs, moving upwards to the arch of the brow.

"Then continue application from the arch moving outwards towards the end of the brow. The cream gel texture blends in effortlessly."

If you want to achieve the effect of realistic fine hairs, he advises using a fine liner brush to draw finer hairs, starting from below the arch of the brow and moving outwards towards the tip.

"You can also draw in fine hairs at the beginning of the brow to give the illusion of a naturally un-groomed shape. Alternatively, use Illamasqua Brow & Lash Gel to seal that perfected brow in place," he says.

Don't forget to groom lashes. Estee Lauder Little Black Primer, £20, available exclusively at Boots, is a three-in-one marvel that also works as a lash tint and a water-resistant topcoat.

Use it to subtly curl, lengthen and volume lashes, it reduces flaking and smudging and at the same time seals mascara. Genius.

If you have barely there brows, revitalise them with Benefit Gimme Brow, £17.50, an innovative fibre gel that adheres to skin and hair, creating brows where there was nothing before.

Or try Benefit Brow Zings, £24.50, a kit with all the tools you need for perfect brows, including pigmented wax for shaping, natural-shaded powder for setting, tweezers, brushes and a mirror.
