It might be summer, but that doesn't need to mean that soup's off the menu! This week, Yelp Glasgow is serving up steaming bowls of cosy, comforting soup for lunch!

Naked Soup

6 Kersland Street, Glasgow West End

"As you would expect there are lots of soups on the menu - always on the board is lentil, sweet potato and coconut soup, then usually another two options which change around." Pammi G recommends "cumin & parsnip, tomato & celery and a chicken & rice" and tips that "if you are unsure if you will like a soup just ask them for a little sample to try which they are always happy to give you."

Soups U

146 Wellington Street, Glasgow City Centre

Emma D says they do"massive portions of tasty homemade soups, always showing whether they are vegan, veggie etc." As an added bonus, "there's a great choice of freshly prepared sarnies with a conscious effort to offer low fat choices- a big 'win' for me!"

Martha's

142A St Vincent Street, Glasgow City Centre

Rocco G "managed to scoff a wonderful falafel wrap and a stonkingly hearty lentil and ham soup. Possibly one of the finest soups I've ever eaten. The result, total satisfaction, a very full belly and I'm happy to report, excellent value for money."

Restauracja U Jarka

5 Parkgrove Terrace, Glasgow West End

"I had the sour rye soup with egg and sausage to start and it was like no soup I've ever had before. So wholesome, filled with flavour and, of course, with an egg," raves Nicola C.

An Clachan

La Belle Place, Glasgow West End

Gavin M advises that An Clachan is "situated next to a playpark in Kelvingrove" and they do "sandwiches, soups coffees with an emphasis on fresh ingredients - it's a little bit more upmarket than most such places."

Gamba

225A West Regent Street, Glasgow City Centre

"I went with the Gamba fish soup to start, it is nothing short of sensational (with crabmeat and ginger, it has a subtle hint of heat to it) and I highly recommend you go there just to have this," says Roz M.

Café Phoenix

262 Woodlands Road, Glasgow West End

"There are always some really tasty vegan options available" says Caley M. She recommends "the lentil, carrot and lime soup and the falafel, hummusand salsa wrap!"
