Brel, 39 Ashton Lane, Glasgow West End G12 8SJ

"The fabulous space outside is a dream in the summer, especially when there are live bands inside, and it feels like all the residents of Byres road have melted out onto Brel's backyard." Jenna C loves the "nommy beers, good tunes and sunshine."

Cocktail & Burger, 323 St Vincent Street, Glasgow G2 3HW

"The cocktails are delicious especially the berry mojito and especially the pineapple & ginger martini. I'll definitely be back to sample more!" raves Kathryn J.

Firebird, 1321 Argyle Street, Glasgow West End G3 8TL

Rocco G loves "one of the few places in Glasgow you can get a tasty Aperol Spritz, great as a wee aperitif!"

Jinty McGuinty's, 23 Ashton Lane, Glasgow West End G12 8SL

"In the summer, when that glorious sunshine beats down on the beautiful Glasgow city, the beer garden at Jinty's is the equivalent of the Sunset Strip for the West End jetsetters" says Tony C.

McPhabbs, 23 Sandyford Place, Glasgow G3 7NG

David C advises there's a "beer garden out front and space out the back. It's around £3 for a pint of your finest Tennents which wasn't too bad!"

Mono, 12 Kings Court, Glasgow G1 5RB

Adele R loves that "they also brew their own soft drinks, including raspberry and rose lemonade, which goes gorgeously with gin."

The Richmond Bar & Bistro, 144 Park Road, Glasgow West End G4 9HB

"Our drinks were perfectly prepared and beautifully presented" says Adele R. "I went for the pamplemousse mojito and he had the red berry caiprinhia, both of which were fruity and flavoursome, with a nice kick to them."

Vino Valentino, 6 Chancellor Street, Glasgow West End G11 5RQ

For wines at home, Grahame G recommends here - "the wine selection on tap is excellent, and they are very amenable to giving you small samples of each to try. I haven't managed to get past the rosé yet, which although slightly fizzy is just delicious and I keep going back for more."

Vodka Wodka, 31 Ashton Lane, Glasgow West End G12 8SL

Gordon W "particularly likes Vodka Wodka's dark, candle-lit environment, particularly on a warm summer evening in the back room behind the bar, where one can also drink out in the beer garden (or is that 'vodka garden'?)."

West, Templeton Building, Glasgow Green, Glasgow G40 1AW

Trudie M has the tip for summer - "bring a rug as the huge beer garden has enough room to fit everyone in!"
