Its range of organic bread made with the finest ingredients and its gluten free options mean Yelpers proclaim this bakery is 'amazing!' Although, it does come with a warning - 'be prepared to walk away with a bag filled with bready goodness!'.
Kember & Jones, 134 Byres Road, Glasgow West End G12 8TD
Sticking with the basics and avoiding any additives, they have a wide range of loaves available, ranging from rye & raisin to focaccia and spelt. The café is filled with the mouthwatering smell of freshly baked bread so you'll find it hard to resist picking up a loaf if you're in for a cuppa.

Famous for their delectable sandwiches, the bread here is baked on the premises meaning it is super fresh. Choose whatever bread you fancy for your piece - whether you want a French baguette, ciabatta, or malted brown. Then you just need to pick one of their many tasty fillings and you're good to go!
Bakery47, delivering on the South Side of Glasgow by arrangement (see www.bakery47.com)
An artisan home-bakery based in Queens Park and delivering by arrangement, they are fast gaining a reputation for their innovative and interesting bakes. Also doing sweet treats, you can expect interesting loaves such as thyme and Gruyere sourdough and soda bread as well as loaf cakes and croissants.
The Plum Tree, 6 Wilson Street, Merchant City Glasgow G1 1SS
This new Merchant City deli bakes all its own bread each morning - including focaccia and farmhouse bread as well as plum bread served with their plum tree deli platters! Keep your eyes peeled for their range of specialty breads expanding in the coming months.

Want to learn how to make your own bread? Two Mamas offer bread-making workshops in various locations (check their website for dates and locations). The workshop is described as 'friendly and informal' and carried out by experts.

Looking after customers with dietary requirements, they bake their own gluten free bread on the premises. Yelpers love that it's 'cosy, comfy, quaint and eclectic' and that it serves 'tasty food and huge portions!'

The first of this US chain to open in Scotland has an impressive range of breads, ranging from kosher, to gluten free and organic. Breads are made fresh in store daily with great weekly specials on different loaves.
Roots & Fruits, 455 Great Western Road, Glasgow West End G12 8HH
Selling bread made at the Bavarian Bakehouse using traditional German methods and all made by hand. You'll also find bread baked by Tapa as well as Kember & Jones here, making it a one-stop-shop for all your artisan bread needs.
Newlands Home, 238-240 Kilmarnock Road, Glasgow G43 1TT
Yelp reviews proclaim the bagels here as 'the best bagels in Glasgow' and that they are 'astoundingly good'. There is plenty of choice if you want something different, 'from classic white to wholemeal' and Italian, as well as something for your sweet tooth.
