Barca Tapas, Princes Square, Glasgow City Centre G1 3JX

Traditional Spanish dishes abound and the menu features "croquetas de pollo y puerro" - roast chicken and leek croquettes with a carmelised onion relish!

Boteco do Brasil, 62 Trongate, Glasgow G1 5EP

Brutti Compadres, 3 Virginia Court, Merchant City G1 1TS

A must-order dish is the cheese and bacon croquettes. With a lovely crispy exterior, you'll be greeted by an explosion of cheese and bacon when you dive in!

Café Andaluz, 15 St Vincent Place, Glasgow City Centre G1 2DW

Leanne R recommends the "Spiced lamb meatballs in a rich tomato sauce. The spices through the lamb were perfect. The tomato sauce is very tasty and there was just the right amount." And don't forget the chicken croquettes!

The Drake, 1 Lynedoch Street, Glasgow West End G3 6EF

Their private dining menu, at £24.95 per head, features slow roast pork belly with fondant potatoes, black pudding and apple croquettes and braised red cabbage!

The Gannet, 1155 Argyle Street, Glasgow West End G3 8TB

Pig head croquettes feature on the bar menu, worth dropping in to sample! Also highly recommended is the Scotch egg, served warm with a gooey centre.

La Bodega, 1120 South Street, Glasgow G14 0AP

Lindsay C "especially enjoyed the Spanish omelette and the potatoes with green coriander and red pepper sauces - the sauces were so delicious I mopped up the last of them with the complimentary bread!"

La Tasca, 39 Renfield Street, Glasgow City Centre G2 1JS

"The chicken croquettes are delightful, and I wish I could have a whole plate of them on a regular basis. I also was pleased with the patatas bravas and the chorizo in red wine" raves Paige K.

Torres, 327 Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow G2 3HW

Golden fried balls of chicken! Francesca R says that Torres has a "hearty and delicious menu served up in a fanciful and welcoming setting. "

Yo Sushi, House of Fraser, Buchanan Street, Glasgow City Centre G1 3HL

For a Japanese version of croquettes, try the pumpkin korroke. You'll find a delicious portion of breaded pumpkin with a fruity sauce.
