These are the faces of the Glasgow soldiers who were awarded the highest honour for putting their lives on the line during World War I.
A remarkable new book commemorates all of those who earned the Victoria Cross, Britain's highest military award for valour, from 1914 to 1918 and many of the 628 recipients were Scottish.
