Glasgow's bars and restaurants have changed dramatically in recent years, with food menus now as important a part as the alcohol on offer.
The changing trend began in the 1960s and this picture brings back memories of the Stirrup Bar at 1055 Sauchiehall Street, seen here in December 1968 when it celebrated its first birthday.
The pub had previously been two old-fashioned houses, but was turned into a a small bar specially for students, while the main lounge was bright, airy and featured racing scenes. The main one behind the bar cost £600.
The dining room could sit up to 60 people and the chef at that time, Alfredo Sanguigni from Italy, was an expert in Italian and French cooking, as well as the more traditional British foods.
In subsequent years the pub had several changes and is now known as the Drawing Room.
