In the days before out-of-town superstores and online shopping, Glasgow's famous covered market was the one-stop shop for pretty well anything under the sun.
Want a petrol cap for Triumph Herald? Nae problem. A First World War soldier's uniform? There's a pile of them over there. A pair of over-sized bloomers for your dear old granny? That sounds like a fair swap son, where did you leave your mammy's mammy?
As famous for its patter as it was for its bargains, the market is today trying to shake off its slightly dodgy image and reposition itself to continue trading for the next 100 years.
We suspect that as long as Glaswegians love a bargain, there will always be stalls doing business at the Barras.
