FIRST things first, we'll have no laughing at the back about the name of this once popular Glasgow eaterie.
Today's cool kids might think they invented drinking and dancing, but their parents, and their grandparents enjoyed the same fun, often in the same venues.
Look closer at this corner of Royal Exchange Square and readers of a certain age will think of Charlie Parkers, a cool bar in the late 1970s but, before that, it was The Gay Gordon.
Famous for its cabaret acts, it was a favourite with the dinner dance set, and offered cocktails, some of which which an obviously outraged Evening Times reported, cost "over £1".
Today, people still sit to dine in the same building, only now it's not chicken in a basket, but fresh pizzas, courtesy of the current tenants Di Maggio's.
