BEATLES fans blocked Renfied Street in 1964 when the Fab Four played at the Odeon Cinema.
The mounted police, more used to dealing with drunken and unruly football fans, were at a loss when confronted by hordes of greetin' and near hysterical wee lassies.
The band played two sold-out shows on the night.
Prior to taking the stage the boys had been interviewed at STV's Theatre Royal studios for the show, Roundup. And who was the cool and happening presenter picked to chat to the boys? Paul Young. That's right. Him off the fishing show.
Gangs of girls ran after the band's car as it raced them from Hope Street to Renfield Street.
