THESE guys were literally working against the clock when they were given the task of removing the famous St Enoch Station timepiece.
The pair, from John Barrie Construction Ltd, made sure the time was just right before undertaking the task in 1975, nine years after the mainline station in Glasgow closed.
The building was demolished two years later but the clock was preserved and given to Cumbernauld.
Since it first left the city for North Lanarkshire, it has been moved and is now in the Antonine Shopping Centre, not far from where it achieved wider fame after being a back-drop for film Gregory's Girl.
