DO YOU recognise any faces in this 1960 production of Sam Thompson's play, Over The Bridge, at Glasgow's King's Theatre?
No! Then perhaps a beer will refresh your memory.
Look a little closer at the fellow second from left, the one smoking the fag. Might you have seen him on TV in the 1970s, advertising Younger's Tartan Special, with the 'Your beer is good' tagline?
Belfast actor Harry Towb joined playwright Thompson, that's him in the bunnet, when his play about Northern Ireland's sectarian divide toured Scotland.
Thompson, as well as being a writer, worked as a painter in Belfast's Harland & Wollf shipyard.
Harry, who was Jewish, enjoyed a long career as a character actor but, in Scotland, he'll always be the bloke off the beer ads.
