It owner, Barney Monks, realised there was a fast buck to be made if he took his scissoring services to the masses; parking up in the city's outlying housing estates and stopping outside busy factories just as the lunchtime hooter sounded.
With precious little room needed to cut hair, Barney, and his sidekick Eddie Doran could have a good blether with the customers as they took their turn moving up the bus seats.
Once everyone was done and dusted (with talc), they'd pack up and go in search of more customers.
Did you ever get your haircut on the us? If so, we'd love to hear about your mobile mop-top.
By the way, isn't that Dr Who in the background?
