CELTIC Park stadium is, of course, a landmark in Glasgow's East End.
But pictured here in 1981, what's interesting is how much the surrounding area has changed since then.
The football ground itself dominates the landscape, while surrounding it are patches of woodland, empty ground or old tenement flats, stretching away into the distance. Of course the main reason this part of the city now looks so different is this summer's Commonwealth Games.
Once the bid to host the Games was won, regeneration started in earnest with now the stadium stands alongside the equally imposing Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome and the Athlete's Village, as well as a massive programme of new landscaping and house building which was also completed.
