When I go out on makeup jobs I carry an insane amount of product, and one thing I'm never without is my primers!
They create a canvas for your makeup, make your skin smooth and silky and help your makeup last longer. If you're adding anything beauty related to your Christmas wish list this year, my advice is to make it one of these amazing primers.
Clinique Superprimer Face Primer, £20
I have the one for all skin types and it's fabulous. Very smooth and easy to apply, it glides on to skin creating a great base for your makeup. The best bit about this range though, is the fact that they have different types for different skin concerns, such as one for correcting dullness and another for uneven skin tone that needs colour correction. Hit a Clinique counter to find out what one is best for you.
Lancome La Base, £28
Super smooth and luxurious, this oil-free formula is great on all skin types. It'll smooth your complexion and make applying your foundation an absolute pleasure.
Arbonne Primer, £26
This has long been one of my favourites that never lets me down! An amazing product that's gained a celebrity following, it really helps to blend your foundation seamlessly on to your face and stay put for a long time! It minimises pores and diminishes fine lines for great looking skin.
Laura Mercier Oil-Free Primer, £28
I carry this in my kit for ladies who have slightly more oily skin, as it helps to control shine and help your makeup last longer even on oily skin - I highly recommend it!
