These kids, caught on camera in Dunoon Bay in 1956, would agree with the author of those words, Scots writer Kenneth Graeme.
Of course, at that age you never worried about the cold, couldn't care less about stubbed toes and grazed knuckles and simply wanted to have watery fun.
In their imaginations, the wee oarie boat could have been anything from a pirate galleon to a motor torpedo boat.
