HEALTH-conscious Michelle McManus refused a slice of cake on her birthday at the launch of an upcoming women's health show.
The curvy Pop Idol winner was presented with a birthday cake to celebrate her turning 27.
But the bulge-battling star said she was saving herself for a slap-up party at her mum's house.
Michelle, who currently tips the scales at 13 stones, said: "I will be going to see my mum and dad and have a quiet night in to celebrate. My mum is making my tea for me. We will be having cake and all the other usual stuff."
The singer said she was hoping to find a bottle of her favourite perfume Ultraviolet among her presents.
Michelle was talking at the launch of The Vitality Show Scotland, which takes place at Glasgow's SECC from Friday until Sunday.
She will give a talk about her battle to control her weight, and how she managed to shed almost 10 stone after appearing on Gillian McKeith's You Are What You Eat show.
And she revealed she is in talks with two major labels about releasing a new album. She said: "It's based on 80's-style electro pop and I've been having a great time."
