CELTIC kid Jamie McCart is looking for his fellow young Hoops to turn on the style again tonight when they host Partick at Cappielow.

The Development League clash against Thistle comes two weeks after Celtic's Under-20s romped to a 6-2 away win to stretch their unbeaten run to four games.

And McCart insists that is the high standard they need to maintain over the season.

The 17-year-old central defender said: "It was an excellent performance against Ross County and we have taken great confidence from it.

"We didn't have the best start in that game but really picked up.

"It was a brilliant result and now we're looking forward to the Thistle match down in Greenock.

"Hopefully we can get a good result there as well."

McCart stepped up from the Under-17s to Celtic's Development squad this summer.

And he received a boost when he came on as a late sub for the first team in a charity match against Villarreal in Spain earlier this month.

He is hoping to play tonight alongside Liam Henderson, who played regularly for the Hoops in the Premier League last season and scored a hat-trick against Ross County a fortnight ago.

McCart knows the young Jags will fight all the way at Cappielow.

He said: "They will be eager to do well against Celtic. They will try to press us high up the park and be very aggressive and determined.

"We'll just have to deal with it and play our own game. We know it will be a tough game."
