HERE is the first look at Celtic's away strip for the new season.

The Parkhead club have returned to an all-green kit as a nod to the golden days of the 1960s in which players such as Jimmy Johnstone and Bertie Auld wore similar outfits as they took on the cream of Europe.

That look has been reinvented with white pinstripes by sportswear manufacturer New Balance ahead of the new season.

The message "A Club Like No Other" features on the inner neck.

"You always want to make a strong impression from the moment you step on the pitch," said the Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen. "New Balance has made an away kit which will achieve this.

"The kit stays true to the clubs traditions, and is unique and comfortable. We all really like it."

Richard Wright, General Manager of New Balance Football, hopes his company has made a statement with the design.

"Every kit we make is important to us, but with this being our first away kit with the club, we wanted to show the fans that we respect the tradition and heritage of the club," he said.

"We have created a kit that nods its head to the past, while incorporating a modern, sleek design that heralds the ambition of both the club and New Balance to enjoy a successful future together."

The New Balance 2015/16 Celtic Away Kit is available to pre-order now at www.celticsuperstore.co.uk and at club stores throughout Scotland and Ireland.
