RONNY DEILA has put his faith in Celtic's back-up hitmen to shoot down Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday.

Parkhead's in-form marksman John Guidetti took his tally to three goals in two games at the weekend as he grabbed a brace in the 2-1 win over St Mirren.

The Hoops, however, will need to do without the on-loan Manchester City striker in the Europa League tie at Celtic Park this week as his move north from the Etihad was not processed in time for him to be registered for the tournament.

Between the club's other three main strikers - Anthony Stokes, Leigh Griffiths and Stefan Scepovic - they only have a hat-trick of goals between as Ronny Deila contemplates the best way to outgun the Croatians.

But while the Celtic manager acknowledges Guidetti's absence is a huge loss for his team, the Norwegian is confident he has enough weapons in his arsenal to blow holes in the Zagreb defence.

He said: "Right now we need every player but we have other strikers who can score goals as well so I'm looking forward to the game.

"Yeah of course Anthony Stokes can play up front on Thursday, that's his natural position. But he can also drift out to the left side, he can play both positions."

As of yet Scepovic has yet to raise any eyebrows in a Celtic jersey with an out-of-sorts showing in Paisley on Saturday doing little to change matters.

The other option is, of course, Griffiths, who was not even on the bench against the Buddies, causing further concern over his future at Parkhead.

But with a lack of options and the game being treated as a must-win tie, Deila revealed the door back into the squad could be open to the former Hibee if he proves his worth in training this week.

One man Deila is hoping will make an appearance on Thursday after missing out at the weekend is Kris Commons.

The creative forward had pulled a muscle in his 'butt' according to the manager, but is hopeful he will be fit enough to take to the field later this week.

Mikael Lustig, James Forrest, Adam Matthews and Charlie Mulgrew are all expected to miss out.
