ON-LOAN Celtic striker John Guidetti has insisted that the Parkhead side can WIN the Europa League.

The Hoops have been paired against Italian giants AC Milan, with the first leg taking place on February 19 in Glasgow, before the return tie a week later in the San Siro.

Inter Milan are currently toiling for form domestically, but most would expect them to present a formidable challenge when it comes to Celtic progressing.

But Guidetti, who was ineligible for the group stages of the tournament and has had to watch Celtic's progress to this stage from the stands, believes the Hoops are capable of going all the way to the final.

And the Swedish striker is desperate to make an impact on the competition. "It's the medals we want and the medals we live for," he told www.celticfc.co.uk. "I want to win every single competition we are in. We can win the Europa League but it's all about how hard we work for each other.

"There are some fantastic teams in the Europa League and it is a much more difficult competition than people may think. There are the likes of Liverpool and Napoli and my old club Feyenoord as well.

"It's going to be difficult and we'll need a bit of luck and the amazing support that we have here at Celtic Park will be huge for us. We know that we have the chance to progress in the knockout stages and the support will be right behind us. This is not an easy place to come to and with our team we can do a lot of good things."

The striker is on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season and it remains to be seen if he will opt to remain in Glasgow.

Celtic have agreed a £3m fee with Manchester City for the player but it will come down to the forward deciding himself where he wants to be playing next season.

"I've said it before and I'll say it again, all I want is to play in front of a full Celtic Park," he said. "That's my ambition."
