JOHN GUIDETTI has welcomed the prospect of an Old Firm clash after firing Celtic into the last four of the League Cup last night.

Ronny Deila's side joined Rangers, Aberdeen and Dundee United in the hat for the semi-finals with a 6-0 win over Partick Thistle.

Guidetti netted a hat-trick for the Hoops and was joined on the scoresheet by Leigh Griffiths and Emilio Izaguirre.

The draw for the next round will be made on Saturday night and Guidetti would relish the chance to go head to head with the Light Blues.

He said: "I am excited about every game I play for Celtic, it is an honour to put the shirt on.

"There are four good teams left in the cup and this club deserves trophies so hopefully we can do that.

"We all know it is a very special game, of course. It is a game I woke up at 11.30 as a small kid to watch.

"Come Hampden Park, there will be 11 people standing opposite us and they are going down.

"Of course it would be a fantastic game to be a part of but whatever happens happens.

"I am very proud every time I get to wear this jersey, not everyone gets to do it, so you go out, play with pride and enjoy it.

"The derby is fantastic. You can see it means a lot. The atmosphere is always amazing and you can hear it through the television.

"But there are four good teams left."
