Peter Capaldi has helped fans celebrate a decade of new Doctor Who with a surprise appearance at the show's popular exhibition in Wales.
Capaldi sang Happy Birthday with fans and cut a special Tardis shaped cake during his visit to the Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, Wales yesterday.
The first episode of revamped version of the popular sci-fi show aired on Saturday, March 26 2005. The episode, called Rose, starred Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor and Billy Piper as Rose Tyler.
Filming on the new series, which will see Peter Capaldi return as the Doctor, is currently underway. The show will return to television screens later this year.
