ALMOST 200 call centre workers in Glasgow have put themselves forward in a bid to be lifesavers.

They have signed up as potential bone marrow donors with the Anthony Nolan Trust.

Staff at Response, which has sites in Ibrox and near Dobbie's Loan in the city centre, and is owned by ex-Rangers' chairman Sir David Murray, were praised by bosses.

Official Julie McIntosh said: "A small gesture to get involved can make a huge difference to saving someone's life and it has been extremely encouraging to see such significant support."

The Trust helps people who need stem cell transplants.
