IMAGES of a man fleeing after allegedly setting fire to a car in a West Dunbartonshire town have been released by police.
The CCTV footage shows a man leaving the scene of the car fire in Bonhill.
It has been released by the crown office procurator fiscal service to help detectives trace the man linked to the wilful fire-raising.
The incident occurred at 9.30pm on Friday, May 4. The dark-blue Volkswagen Passat was set alight in the car park at the rear of 17 Braehead in Bonhill.
Since Sunday, January 1 there have been 23 reports of wilful fire-raising to motor vehicles in the area. Detectives at Dumbarton CID want to speak to anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV images.
They also wish to trace a number of people seen in the surrounding area.

Earlier this month, as reported in the Evening Times, 35 cars had their tyres slashed by vandals in Glasgow's Knightswood.
And in April three upmarket cars had their windscreens smashed in the West End.
