STRATHCLYDE Police could close front desks outside peak hours so that officers can spend more time on the beat due to a decline in the number of people reporting crime in person.
Increased use of the force website and social media by the public shows interaction with the police is changing, and the force is reviewing its service to take into account the views of local authorities and community councils to ensure the best service to the public.
