CELEBRITY mum Denise Van Outen visited a playground to
kick-start a campaign to improve the nation's play parks.
The presenter appeared at the Natural Play Zone in Bowling, in West Dunbartonshire, to launch the Transform Your Patch scheme which is aimed at improving playgrounds, parks and sports facilities.
Transform Your Patch, run by charity Groundwork and drinks manufacturers Britvic and Pepsi, hopes to raise funds to upgrade facilities through soft drink sales.
TV girl Denise is the face of the campaign's playground scheme and is encouraging shoppers to get on board to improve the nation's play areas.
The initiative also features Fazer, of N Dubs, who hopes to improve skate parks and former footballer Robbie Savage and presenter Emma Willis who are doing their bit for five-a-side parks and picnic spaces.
People are being encouraged to get online and support the celebrities by voting for the areas they wish to improve.
Denise said: "It is so important that all kids have access to a safe and clean outdoor space in which to play."
